Mordecai Evans has extensive experience in healthcare, business ownership, business development, business brokerage, sales, and marketing.

Evans spent most of his professional career in various aspects of the pharmaceutical industry learning to cultivate relationships, identify and communicate value, resolve conflict, and apply unique solutions to complex problems. He is a decorated sales professional, having won various awards and recognition for exceeding established sales goals and projections.  However, he is most notable as an entrepreneur.  Throughout his career, he started and operated several diverse businesses, including an employee-testing company, an internet-based restaurant-equipment company, and a healthcare-marketing company. He was also a partner in a medical-billing company providing billing services to local medical specialists, and in an occupational-health clinic providing employee-health services to local and national businesses.

His experience with clients ranging from small to medium in size and scope (as well as one Fortune 10 company) helped him hone his business-development, operations, and marketing skills. In working closely with a diverse landscape of business owners, he became adept at finding solutions to clients’ needs and positioning them for success.

Prior to joining Abraxas, Evans served as a business intermediary with a “main-street-business” brokerage firm for 3½ years, where he successfully helped many small business owners navigate the complexity of the business-sale process.

Evans is a member of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), the largest network of professional business brokers, and a member of M&A Source, a global network of M&A advisors and strategic professionals dedicated to serving lower-middle-market business owners.

He has been awarded the Certified Business Intermediary(CBI) designation by the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA). The CBI designation is the gold standard of business broker certifications and is granted to IBBA members who have met rigorous educational requirements, demonstrated industry knowledge, experience, ethical standards, and met continuing education requirements.  He has also earned the prestigious Certified Mergers & Acquisitions Professional (CM&AP) certification from the Coles M&A Academy at the Kennesaw State University College of Business.  The CM&AP program equips its graduates with the analytical and business tools needed to successfully manage lower-middle-market transactions with businesses ranging from $5- to $50-million in revenue. Graduates of the program have demonstrated expertise in valuation, diligence, financial analysis, deal management, and negotiation involved with managing large M&A transactions.
